Spring Events with APC: Let’s Get Outside!
Spring has sprung and our community is back in action! The Accabonac Protection Committee is eager to see YOU at one of the following upcoming events:
Clean up on APC’s adopted road, our beloved Gerard Drive, on May 09th, talk with Judith Weis on marine pollution on May 11th at Ashawagh Hall, and an upcoming Paddle & Harbor Clean Up on June 27th, 2026.

Gerard Drive Trash Clean Up
May 09th @ 10AM, end of Gerard Drive
Join APC as we support East Hampton Sportmen’s Alliance for the first spring litter pickup on May 09, 2026 on APC’s Adopt-a-Road, Gerard Drive. This clean up is in partnership with the East Hampton’s Litter Action Committee. We will meet at the Gerard Point parking lot @10AM at the end of the road near the inlet.
Vests, pickup tools, gloves and bags will be provided.
Marine Pollution: What Everyone Needs to Know
May 11th @ 7PM, Ashawagh Hall
The Accabonac Protection Committee is pleased to announce a discussion with Dr. Judith Weis about her most recent book, Marine Pollution: What Everyone Needs to Know. Dr Weis will take a local look at a global problem, pointing out the causes of ever increasing algal blooms in our waters and what needs to be done about them. We encourage everyone to attend her presentation and the following Q&A.

APC’s Annual Paddle & Clean Up
June 27, 2026 @ 10AM, Landing Lane
Join us for great day on the water as APC hosts our 2nd annual Paddle & Clean Up on Accabonac Harbor! Bring your kayak, paddle board, sunfish, or other flotation vehicle to Landing Lane – off of Old Stone Hwy – at 10AM on June 27th. Led by APC Board Member Jody Sutter and East Hampton’s own paddle pro Evelyn O’Doherty, you can look forward to an exclusive tour of Accabonac Harbor’s hidden gems and historic sites, plus the opportunity to help Mother Earth by cleaning up hard to reach places around the harbor.

Each of these events are designed to get you outside, in nature and by the water, to remind you that what we have here on the East End of Long Island is so precious. Let’s take care of it, together.
