In And Around Accabonac: Past, Present and Future

The Accabonac Protection Committee will present our third and final Public Forum of the year, “In And Around Accabonac: Past, Present and Future,” on September 12, from 6-8PM at Ashawagh Hall in Springs. Refreshments will be served.
Our wonderful line-up of speakers will covering aspects of local history, ecological change, and shellfishing. Details below

- Christopher Pickerell, Director, Marine Division of Cornell Cooperative Extension: “Eelgrass—What Happened, Can it Return”
- John “Barley” Dunne, Director, East Hampton Town Aquaculture Department: “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Shellfish Culture in a Changing Climate”
Ample time will be allowed for questions from the audience. Information on what residents and visitors can do to protect our environment and themselves will be available.
The mission of the Accabonac Protection Committee (APC) is to protect, enhance and restore the ecological integrity of Accabonac Harbor and its watershed. All of us play a part in that.
