Mike’s presentation is Keeping Track of Otters on Long Island
Mike is a wildlife biologist with Seatuck Environmental Association whose study subjects include otters, coyotes and spotted turtles; author of several books (Trail Guide to the South Fork, Paddling East End Waters; The Walking Dunes: East Hampton’s Hidden Treasure; and outdoor columnist for the East Hampton Press.
Bruce’s “presentation” is “How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Backyard Birding: Q and A” with Bruce Horwith, owner of Wild Bird Crossing
Bruce is a conservation biologist holding a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Bruce was that of Director of Preserves for the Nature Conservancy on Long Island from 1999 to 2010, Since 2010, Bruce has provided scientific expertise and project management to pond restoration, phragmites control, buffer planting near wetlands, dune ecology, and wildlife habitat restoration projects in his private practice.
Bruce has owned Wild Bird Crossing in Bridgehampton Commons since 1998.
