Accabonac Harbor and its Watershed

Happy Vernal Equinox! The perfect time and place to witness nature as Spring unfolds. 

This week, the Accabonac Protection Committee mailed a letter to every homeowner in the Accabonac Watershed. There are over 3,000 households in the Watershed. The mailing included a map of the watershed.  We believe it is important that homeowners are aware their property is in the watershed and that what each of us do on our property really matters.  

The letter included actions each homeowner can consider taking to protect water quality and the natural beauty of Accabonac Harbor. Our hope is people will locate their street on the map and read about the watershed and steps they can take to protect groundwater and Accabonac Harbor.
