Upcoming APC Activities

Hello everyone, Happy Spring! In conjunction with last year’s messaging about “What you do on your Property Matters”, we are pleased to announce that the Accabonac Protection Committee and Perfect Earth Project are co-sponsoring an event on April 20th, “Talk Dirt to Me – Sustainable Land Care” at the Springs Presbyterian Church from 1:00 to 3:30. This event, which will include a panel discussion and an Information Fair, will cover a number of topics related to nature-based lawn care. We would also like to tell you about some additions we have made to the Accabonac.org web site. As of a month ago, a weather station has been installed in the vicinity of Louse Point and we are now able to provide comprehensive real time weather information through our web site. We also have added a link to an Accabonac Tide Chart. So, go out to the site and check out these new additions.

And finally, in support of the No-Fling Spring anti litter campaign, we will be assembling at the first causeway on Gerard Drive at 10:00am on Saturday, April 27th. The clean-up will be led by Nick Bryan and he has graciously agreed to share some history about the area with those who are participating. More information about this event will be sent out the week prior to the 27th.
