Annual Paddle & Pickup in Accabonac Harbor on Saturday, June 27

Join us for our 2nd Annual Paddle & Pickup on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 AM!

Grab a paddle and help clean up the harbor while enjoying some good vibes and fresh air.

On Saturday, June 27 from 10:00am to approximately 12:00pm, the Accabonac Protection Committee will be hosting a paddle and trash pick-up event. Join APC Board Member Jody Sutter and East Hampton paddle pro Evelyn O’Doherty for a special tour on the stunning waters of Accabonac Harbor.

Bring your kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or favorite flotation device — all are welcome!

We’ll meet at the kayak launch at the end of Landing Lane and then go on an easy-to-moderate paddle through Accabonac Harbor and over to Merrill Lake Sanctuary where we’ll disembark and do our part to keep this special place beautiful and pristine by picking up trash and debris that have collected there over time.

Latex gloves and trash bags will be provided. You bring yourself, your family, and your love of the outdoors for this approximately 2.5-mile round-trip adventure (or paddle as far as you’d like) supported by the East Hampton Ocean Rescue lifeguards.
