APC Updates May 2024
We were very pleased to see so many of you at the “Talk Dirt to Me” program on April 20th. We are committed to having a session like this every year, in partnership with the Perfect Earth project, so that we can share the most up-to-date information about environmentally friendly lawn care. So be on the lookout for announcements about the upcoming sessions.
Thank you for joining us for the No-Fling Spring anti litter campaign that took place on April 27th on Gerard Drive. There was a great turnout. The clean-up was led by Nick Bryan and he shared share some history about the area with those who participated.
On May 9th, the East Hampton Library in conjunction with the Concerned Citizens of Montauk and the APC, will screen “The Story of Plastic”, an Emmy winning film depicting one of the world’s far reaching global environmental issues. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by the Surfrider Foundation. To register call 631-324-0222 Ext 3.
One last thing – we are doing something different for our annual get together in the Fall. We will be joined by some local musicians for a concert at a location adjacent to the Harbor. Stay tuned for all of the information about this event as the planning progresses.
APC is a grass roots organization. We have no paid staff. If you would like to be part of the solution, please make a donation to the Accabonac Protection Committee. This kind of environmental action is as local as it gets.
