The Louse Point Stormwater and Restoration project is complete, just in time for Thanksgiving. A fine time to take a walk and enjoy the beauty of Louse Point.

Plenty of great places to walk along Accabonac Harbor this holiday weekend. As noted in our last newsletter, the Nancy Kelley Nature Preserve, has magnificent vistas since the bamboo has been removed. Park for Merrill Lake, on Springs Fireplace Road, take the walking path and take the first path to the left
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2022 – 10:00 AM – GERARD DRIVE RAMBLE (Cape Gardiner Peninsula)
Something different this way comes: a post-Thanksgiving road walk, perhaps mixed in with a walk on the beach, combined with short strolls down side trails on the Cape Gardiner peninsula (Gerard Drive). Learn a LOT about the history of this area and Accabonac Creek, while enjoying specular views across the creek and Gardiner’s Bay. Meet at gravel parking area, north end of Gerard Drive (Old Fireplace Road). Distance: 3-1/2 to 4 Miles; moderate pace. Route is exposed to the wind, so dress accordingly. Bring snacks & liquids. Info only, call Rick: (631) 267-6608 or (631) 275-8539. Email: richardwhalen@optonline.net
On behalf of the APC board, Happy Thanksgiving!
