February 2022 Forum Follow Up

Thanks to Chris Paparo for his fascinating presentation on Wildlife on Long Island.

This presentation coincides nicely with the launch of APC’s “In and Around Accabonac”. If you want to participate in this Citizen Science Project, please send a description of your sighting, along with the date, time and location to Accabonacprotection@gmail.com. Other information such as a picture, field observations, and weather conditions are welcome. Put “Sighting” in your email subject line.

Chris Paparo suggested an app called iNaturalist as an aid to identification.

Chris Paparo has posted many local photos on social media. Look for him as the Fish Guy. Artie Kopleman, PhD, who spoke to us recently also has photos on social media. These photos can be a great resource as well.
