Accabonac Trail Walk: October 27 2019

Due to the heavy rain predicted for Sunday October 27th, the Nature Walk with Zach and Andy has been cancelled.

Please join the Accabonac Protection Committee and the East Hampton Nature Preserve Committee (EHNPC) for an afternoon exploring 3 Nature Preserves off Springs Fireplace Road.

Led by Zachary Cohen, Chair of the EHNPC, and Andy Gaites, Principal Environmental Analyst, Land Acquisition and Management, Town of East Hampton, this guided tour will enhance your knowledge of the Accabonac watershed as well as allow you to enjoy the sights, sounds, and invigoration that only a cool, crisp day in Autumn can give you. Join us!

First stop at 2 PM. Parking easily available just to east of the road and next to the front trees and vegetation.
Filippelli Preserve at 976 and 980 Springs Fireplace Rd (no address is shown but there will be a Preserve sign)

Second visit to Dodge Preserve at 2:30. There is a car entrance (on dirt) for a two car parking. Most parking will be just off the street.

Merrill Lake about 3 PM for a large Preserve (Owned by The Nature Conservancy but two neighbor lots are owned by the Town)
